Bookings
Chateau-X is an independent restaurant relying upon bookings being honoured by our guests or sufficient notice being given of any required changes to reservations. We therefore kindly request that diners give us a minimum of 24 hours notification if a cancellation or an amendment is required. We require debit/credit card details for all reservations to secure your table with us. These will be held in a secure PCI-DSS compliant vault. A charge of the full price of the menu per person will be made if the cancellation terms are not met (£15pp). Unfortunately, our experience of parties failing to cancel or amend bookings dictates this precaution is now necessary. If you have any queries regarding our terms and conditions do not hesitate to contact the restaurant. By making a reservation at Chateau-X, you agree to our reservation and cancellation terms. No there is not. As long as you’re completely comfortable in your outfit, you’re more than welcome to enjoy our experience!
The quickest way to secure a cancellation is via our website as this is a live feed to our reservation system. For example, if a guest cancels a table this is automatically shown on our booking page, and is accessed quicker this way. If you were to go via the team to book, this slot may be gone by the time you make contact.
If you are bringing a pram to the restaurant, we request that you include this in how many people you are booking for. For example, 2 people and one pram would require you to book a table for 3. You are not charged for this seat, it is simply so we can fit this in the space we have!
Our sittings are for an hour and a half, should you wish for a longer sitting we kindly ask you to email our customer relations team who will be happy to organise this for you.
Yes absolutely. When booking to bring a child along with you, whether they will be dining or not, please ensure that you include them in your total seats booked. This allows us to make space for them.. If you have any particular queries please email our Customer Relations Manager.

We recommend pre booking to ensure you get your chosen time slot however we do offer walk-ins.
Yes we do offer walk-ins, however we recommend booking for busy time slots such as Saturday evening to ensure you aren’t disappointed.
Dietary Requirements
Can we kindly ask that you email our customer relations team, we take allergens very seriously at Chateau-X and want to ensure you have all the correct information before you visit.
Our meat is not halal, We have a direct relationship with a small, local butchers and as we slowly build in Glasgow, we hope we can expand our offering more.
Yes we can! If you add to your booking notes that you are pregnant & list any ingredients you cannot have the team will make sure they accommodate this. If there is something you are particularly worried about please email customerrelations@chateaux-restaurant.co.uk
Sadly we do not off any vegetarian options for our main however our Roasted Apache Potatoes, Sweet Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise, Skinny Rooster Chips andNew Season Potato Salad, Pancetta, Sun-Blush Tomato, Saffron & Basil, XO Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Roasted Peanut Emulsion, Crispy Mushroom, Green Beans & Confit Shallot are all vegetarian options.

Of course! We cater for a variety of dietary requirements including gluten free and dairy free. While some of the ingredients on the dish may not permit a suitable swap that would allow the dish to remain exactly the same, the team are more than happy to provide you with an alternative ensuring you can enjoy your experience. Please just add this to your booking notes prior to your visit.
Dining With Us
We recommend our steaks to be medium-rare as this is the best for the cut of meat however we also offer well done chateaubriand for those who prefer this.
We recommend 3 sides between 2 people sharing. However, all of our sides are designed to be shared so feel free to order as many as you would like!

We work with both John Gilmour Butchers and Cairnhill Farms, two multi-award winning butchers located within Scotland.
John Gilmour Butchers have been in the business for over 75 years and are multi award winning. Based in Macmerry on the east coast of Scotland, John Gilmour butchers exclusively use grass fed and UK bred beef for a sustainable and top quality product.
Cairnhill farms are located in the Girvan Valley in the heart of Ayrshire. Their beef herd is mainly Angus and Limousin and the cuts from these prime cuts are bursting with flavour gained from their sustainable grass fed diet.
We pride ourselves on only working with local suppliers to provide you with the best quality meat possible
We advise ordering an extra chateaubriand for an odd number of guests. For example for 3 guests we recommend ordering 2 chateabriands to ensure you are all able to enjoy a decent sized portion.
