What is your booking policy?
Chateau-X is an independent restaurant relying upon bookings being honoured by our guests or sufficient notice being given of any required changes to reservations. We therefore kindly request that diners give us a minimum of 24 hours notification if a cancellation or an amendment is required. We require debit/credit card details for all reservations to secure your table with us.
These will be held in a secure PCI-DSS compliant vault. A charge of the full price of the menu per person will be made if the cancellation terms are not met (£15pp). Unfortunately, our experience of parties failing to cancel or amend bookings dictates this precaution is now necessary. If you have any queries regarding our terms and conditions do not hesitate to contact the restaurant. By making a reservation at Chateau-X, you agree to our reservation and cancellation terms. We wish to thank you for your understanding and co-operation and look forward to welcoming you to Chateau-X.
I want to book for 6 or more people, is this possible?
This won’t be a problem providing we have the space! All you have to do is email our Customer Relations Manager and they will be more than happy to help you out: customerrelations@chateaux-restaurant.co.uk
I am visiting for a special occasion, is there anything extra you can do?

Is there a dress code?
No there is not. As long as you’re completely comfortable in your outfit, you’re more than welcome to enjoy our experience!
If you are fully booked for the date I wish to attend, do you have a cancellation list?
The quickest way to secure a cancellation is via our website as this is a live feed to our reservation system. For example, if a guest cancels a table this is automatically shown on our booking page, and is accessed quicker this way. If you were to go via the team to book, this slot may be gone by the time you make contact.
Do you have room for prams?
If you are bringing a pram to the restaurant, we request that you include this in how many people you are booking for. For example, 2 people and one pram would require you to book a table for 3. You are not charged for this seat, it is simply so we can fit this in the space we have!
How long do I get at my table?
Our sittings are for an hour and a half, should you wish for a longer sitting we kindly ask you to email our customer relations team who will be happy to organise this for you.
Are children welcome?
Yes absolutely. When booking to bring a child along with you, whether they will be dining or not, please ensure that you include them in your total seats booked. This allows us to make space for them.. If you have any particular queries please email our Customer Relations Manager.

Do I have to prebook?
We recommend pre-booking to ensure you get your chosen time slot however we do offer walk-ins.
Do I offer walk-ins?
Yes we do offer walk-ins, however we recommend booking for busy time slots such as Saturday evening to ensure you aren’t disappointed.
